ACTOR'S SCENE STUDY LAB
Taught by long-time Playhouse West Associate Instructor, Ed Aristone, this course is designed for people who wish to explore acting in a more relaxed atmosphere. It begins with improvisational exercise work, but will focus primarily on scene study, basic script analysis, receiving and working with direction, and learning how to make strong interpretive choices.
Saturdays, 9 a.m. / 8 week sessions
Class Fee: $225
Class limited to 20 students per session. All students will work in every class.
Students must register below and pay class fee in advance to reserve a spot in the class.
Each class lasts 2-3 hours (depends on the number of students in each class)
Next Session Starts: May 3
Session Dates: May 3, 10, 17, 31, June 7, 14, 21, 28
After 8 weeks, students may re-enroll for the next 8 week session and continue training.
This class for seasoned actors looking to work on scenes, but it is especially designed for anyone new looking to just try out acting. It will be set in a serious, professional atmosphere, but this course is not the same level of intensity as our regular, twice-weekly, two to three year foundational Meisner program.
