We offer TWO different ways to audit: You can sit in and observe a class in progress OR join our new weekend interactive audit where you get on your feet to learn the basics! An audit of Playhouse West is FREE. If you would like to join, you will have a brief interview after the audit with either Wolfgang Bodison, Froi Betancor-Toner, or Chris Liebe. AUDITS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

What to Expect at the Sit-in Audit
ALL AUDITS ARE HELD AT OUR LANKERSHIM STUDIO

Arrive EARLY and plan your trip for traffic and parking.
The students you watch in your audit have either just started their training or may have been working with us for several months. The exercise you will observe have, at their root, two clear guidelines:

Acting is more instinctive than intellectual.

It is vital for the actor to connect with their partner.
Our classes are three hours long. Students who attend Playhouse West have class twice a week and work every class.
Any questions you have will be answered during your interview. The interview is brief and takes place immediately after the audit. Your interview is not an audition! You don't need to bring or prepare anything.
If qualified, a class schedule will be determined with the interviewer. Training may begin any time in the month, with the first month of membership is pro-rated.
Before Auditing, it may be helpful to read the first few chapters of Sanford Meisner On Acting.

Just like the sit-in audit, the exercise you will partake in has, at their root, two clear guidelines:

This audit is three hours long. During this time, you will work with one of our instructors who will guide you through the basic building blocks in which you will build upon in class.
Any questions you have will be answered during your interview. The interview is brief and takes place immediately after the audit. Your interview is not an audition! You don't need to bring or prepare anything.
A class schedule will be determined with the interviewer. Training may begin any time in the month, with the first month of membership pro-rated.
